Created in partnership with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB), Oceano is a new generation Patient Administration System (PAS) modular software system that offers an end to end solution to support patient care management; from referral through admission to discharge. 

Oceano modules have been designed for each specialised area of care with the assurance that the core PAS platform supports the enterprise environment without compromising on the department functionality.

Oceano adopts a patient-centric approach that is in line with the UK Government's strategy for converged care. Developed in conjunction with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, Oceano provides an integrated or standalone rules-based clinical decision support solution providing clinical, administrative and case management support to clinicians and administrative staff. 

In many hospitals today, there are disparate incumbent IT systems which impacts the delivery, quality and timeliness of care; this can create challenges in maintaining the efficient transfer of patient information and providing information at the point of care to meet clinical and operational needs.  Interoperability is key to facilitate the communication and information flows between the systems and Servelec offers a flexible, modular based approach so there is no need to replace everything at once.
