An Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) is a technology platform that combines elements of process control and functional safety into a single architecture. The systems we integrate may include elements from multiple or single vendors and can incorporate existing systems or implement completely new architecture. Servelec Controls specialises in bespoke system integration for the oil, gas, power, nuclear, defence, renewable, water, broadcast, telecoms, transportation, chemical and food and beverage industries.
Servelec Controls works with clients in the most hazardous industries, where safety is absolutely paramount. Without robust safety systems our clients would not be able to operate. This focus on safety runs through the heart of Servelec Controls and how we operate, which is why we have such an impeccable safety record of our own with just one lost-time accident in the last decade.
Safety & Process Information
Bringing together safety and process information in a safe manner
Resource sharing allows operational and cost efficiency
Removal of Point of Failure
Removal of a possible point of failure as a communication gateway is not required between the safety system and control system
Standardised programming across the system
Reduction of required spares due to the use of common hardware
Integrated control and safety systems combine the functionality of both control and safety systems, which Servelec can also provide separately.
Servelec Controls has developed control systems for both onshore and offshore facilities for four decades. Servelec Controls systems are in use on over a third of the producing platforms in the UKCS as well as most of the nuclear sites in the UK.
We utilise a range of systems to control outputs that are essential to the safe and reliable operation of our client’s assets. From our engineering and manufacturing facility, our experienced engineers build a wide range of bespoke control systems including:
Our expert teams also provide consultancy and support for:
Servelec Controls works with the largest operators in the most demanding and hazardous industries, where reliable and robust safety systems are absolutely critical for the protection of personnel, plant and the environment. For example, Servelec Controls has 40 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry where exploration and production either offshore or onshore takes place under extreme conditions, and ensuring the safety of workers and the asset is paramount. SIRA and CASS accredited, our TUV Certified engineers ensure best engineering practice in accordance with IEC 61508.
Our safety systems minimise risk by providing accurate and reliable information required to take preventative action, giving sufficient time to shut off systems or evacuate areas prior to an emergency. Our safety solutions include:
