Winners of the Social Worker of the Year Awards 2016 were announced at an awards ceremony on 25 November at the Lancaster Hotel in Central London, in front of an audience of 350 social workers and representatives of the profession.
The prestigious awards ceremony is the leading celebration of its kind in the social care sector, and recognises the achievements and successes of the profession’s most innovative and dedicated social workers. There are 15 categories across the specialisms of children’s and adult services.
Servelec Corelogic jointly sponsored the Creative & Innovative Social Work Practice award in partnership with their customer; Essex County Council. This award celebrates social workers from both children’s and adult services who have gone the extra mile to come up with creative, innovative and cost-effective solutions to problems.
Garry McCord, Chief Executive Officer at Servelec Corelogic, said:
“We are extremely proud to have been part of the Social Worker of the Year awards. This year we sponsored the Creative & Innovative Social Work Practice award in partnership with our customer, Essex County Council.
The Gold winner of the Creative & Innovative Social Work Practice award - Yasmin Ishaq from Kent County Council, has achieved tremendous success for young people who haven’t traditionally received the support they need. They are extremely innovative in terms of meeting future needs. All winners should be very proud of everything they have achieved.
We would also like to congratulate Essex County Council on winning several prestigious awards which include ‘Team Leader of the Year - Children’s Services’, ‘Overall Social Worker of the Year’ and ‘Principal Social Worker of the Year’.”
Servelec congratulates all the winners and runners up of the Social Worker of the Year Awards 2016. A full list of the winners is available here.
